EGTA (Molecular Biology Grade)

Ethyleneglycol bis(2-aminoethyl ether)-N,N,N',N' tetraacetic acid, (EGTA) is a metal chelating agent, relatively more specific for calcium ions, which make it a popular choice compared to EDTA for cell culture. It can also be used as an anticoagulant agent at a concentration of 1 g per 100 mL of blood (1% w/v in blood).
