Bestatin

Bestatin (Ubenimex) is a competitive inhibitor of several aminopeptidases in animals and plants, including leucine aminopeptidase, aminopeptidase B, and triamino peptidase. Acting in a dose dependent manner, Bestatin is a strong inducer of defense genes in tomato leaves, as well as the genes which are induced by herbivore attacks, mechanical wounding, systemin, and methyl jasmonate.
