TBS Tween™20 (TBS-T) is commonly employed as a wash buffer or blocking buffer in applications such as Western blot and ELISA assays. It is a combination of TBS and Polysorbate 20, commonly referred to as Tween 20. TBS-T is particularly suitable when used with alkaline phosphatase or peroxidase-conjugated antibodies. ZELLX® TBS-T, for instance, is composed of 50 mM Tris-HCl and 150 mM NaCl, and 0.05% Tween™ 20 with a pH of 7.6 at 25°C. Each tablet is for preparation of 500 mL 1X TBS-T solution.
