Tyramine HCl (Tyramine Hydrochloride) also known as 4-hydroxyphenethylamine or para-tyramine is the hydrochloride salt of the naturally-occurring monoamine derived from the amino acid tyrosine. Tyrosine decarboxylase catalyzes the production of tyramine from tyrosine. It serves as catecholamine releasing agent, however does not have the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier.
